Battle Flow

When a challenge is accepted, both wagers lock into escrow. If both players have a saved 3-card deck, the battle starts immediately. Otherwise, each player picks one character from the menus (heroes and villains shown together — pick from what you own).

Each round, both players pick an action simultaneously. Neither player sees the other's choice until after both lock in. With a 3-card deck, cards fight in sequence — when one card reaches 0 HP, the next steps up. Battles end when all of one team's cards are defeated or after the maximum round count.

You have 20 seconds to pick each round. No pick = auto-Strike.

Combat Actions

Each round choose one of three actions. Multipliers apply to both offense and defense simultaneously.

Strike
ATK 1.0× DEF 1.0× DMG Taken 1.0×

Balanced — consistent damage, no risk.

Guard
ATK 0.3× DEF 2.0× DMG Taken 0.5×

Turtle up — barely attack, but take only half damage.

Surge
ATK 1.5× DEF 0.6× DMG Taken 1.3×

All-in burst — massive damage output but you take 30% more.

There's a 15% chance any hit is blocked (0 damage) and a 10% chance of a critical (2× damage). Both events are independent — any round can swing either way.

Stats & NFT Advantages

Your battle stats — Attack, Defense, and Health — come from the NFTs you actually own in your confirmed wallet. Higher rarity = higher base stats. Multimint bonuses stack: own 3 copies of the same card and all 3 contribute to your total. If you select a character you don't own, you fight at that character's base Rare stats.

RareBase stats — lowest tier
EpicHigher stats than Rare
LegendarySignificantly stronger
NeapolitanHighest base stats

Bonus Holders

These bonuses apply automatically to every battle:

  • Yieldly NFT holder — +11% ATK multiplier
  • LP Superhero holder — +10% to all stats
  • Catalyst equip — +33% to ATK, DEF, or HP (set via /equip)
With a saved 3-card deck, stats are summed across all three cards (including multimint quantity). A full deck of Neapolitan cards is significantly stronger than a single-card pick.

Leaderboard

Discord PVP has its own win/loss leaderboard that is completely separate from the Web Arena season leaderboard. Your Discord battle results do not count toward the ranked season on the website, and vice versa.

View the Discord PVP leaderboard anytime by running /leaderboards in the Algo Leagues Discord server.

Web Arena tracks season points & prizes on the Arena page. Discord PVP tracks wins & losses via /leaderboards — two separate systems.
